Once again we had the absolutely beautiful Kim from 987FM for our emcee. She kept the atmosphere relaxed and light-hearted; slowly bringing Changkat Changi out of its shell. And out they came! Gyrating to music, while channeling their inner rock star, all for the chance to win some exclusive *SCAPE Invasion X Flesh Imp merch!
'Mine'! 'Mine'! 'Mine'! 'Mine'!
A Mini ShiGGa Shay!
First up was Punk Pop band Sign of Five. Front man Ro got the crowd crooning out melodies to the crisp sound of two acoustic guitars. If you wanna have the full experience with the whole band, check out SIGN OF FIVE!
Ro front and centre!
Next up was Journalist of the year and head writer of Esquire Singapore, Wayne Cheong. And guess what, he was an ex-Changkat Changi student! He sat exactly where you were sitting (okay maybe not exactly, he's pretty old) He is a goldmine when it comes to experience, as he shared about his life in the creative industry. Hope you all took some notes.
It’s Wayne’s World, it’s Wayne’s World. It’s Party Time, it’s excellent.
Finally ShiGGa Shay took the stage. With his poetry speech, he got the students bobbing their heads to his heady beat and his sick flow. Did someone say Rap God? In his second song he performed with singer/songwriter extraordinaire Inch Chua as they glided atop the stage while spitting with their gilded tongues. These two veterans of the local music scene killed it(I think I saw a kid being stretchered out) If you wanna be slayed too click SHIGGASHAY and INCH CHUA to find out more.
Beauty and the Beat
And with that we come to the end of our invasion. We hope we have conquered your hearts and minds. Till next time my music minions. Stay enslaved to the music.
